We send out our deepest condolences and prayers to Ellie's family and friends. I first met Ellie over thirty-years ago as a I began my YMCA career. What started out as a professional staff relationship soon became a close friendship that included my wife Louise and our good friend Sy. Our annual couples trip to Tanglewood will always remain in our hearts with fond memories. Our visits to Cape Cod after Ellie's retirement were always filled with laughter and great conversation that made our friendship even stronger. Ellie's tenure as a YMCA professional touched the lives of so many people in a variety of ways. As a National Y trainer she not only used her skills as an excellent communicator but often became a role model and mentor to those she trained over the years. Ellie was a people person. During her career she spent time as a Human Resources Director. Her ability to deal with staff in a sensitive and caring way while at the same time be strong enough to make tough decisions made her a great leader. We will miss Ellie but the fond memories of our friendship will live within our hearts. Love You Miss Ellie! Tommy & Louise Boyton

Dear Leesa and other family members, Ellie and Sy moved in next to me about 20 years ago. They were great neighbors and we quickly became good friends. Since then my husband passed away and shortly after, so did Sy after a long illness. I will always remember talking over the fence, taking walks, and sometimes having dinner together with Ellie at a local restaurant. She was a good person and I will miss her. I will keep you in my prayers during this very difficult time. Tillie Savage

Ellie, do we have stories. Our trip to Niagra Falls when Leesa and Karen were kids, our double dating with some good guys and some not so good, but lots of laughs. So glad that I talked to you in Plymouth and we promised that you would come to my condo for a few days when you got better. I will miss you at the Vineyard and New Hampshire. Love you. Elna

So sorry for your loss. Ed and I will miss Ellie. We had so many wonderful New Yearâ??s Eve parties playing cards at the Cape. We played the guys against the girls and (donâ??t tell Uncle Walter I said this) the girls won most of the time. Love to you Leesa at this difficult time.
