Obituary For Eleanor Trombley

Warren - Eleanor R. Trombley 83, of Warren, died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Grace Barker Health ,in Warren, RI surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the late George H. Trombley. Eleanor was born in Marshfield ,Ma to the late Chester and Margaret (Wheelock )Newton on September 13,1934. Eleanor had lived in many places as a little girl ,but as she got older she moved to Newport ,RI to be with her sister and that is when she met George. They married at St. Jean the Baptiste on October 12,1955. Eleanor at first was a stay at home mom so she could raise the big family she always dreamed of having. Eleanor was a hands on Mom and took her hobbies and talents to give her family a great childhood growing up. There wasn't a wedding dress, Halloween costume or a girl scout badge she couldn't sew. She always enjoyed music and dancing. She showed her children that there wasnt anything they couldnt do if they put their mind to it. She learned how to belly and line dance. There wasnt a song she wouldnt boogie down to right up till the end.

As her children got older she got a job in the parts department for over 30 years at American Tourister. As her family grew she brought her children together to build an addition to her home so her and George could have her family all together under one roof for holidays and family celebrations .The thought of having grandchildren ,great-grandchildren and great-great meant more to her than anything in the world. She loved being Grammy just as much if not more than being Mom. She was the sister to Barbara Dolash of Mont Claire, Ca.lifornia and was preceded in death by her sister Betty Jacobson She is survived by her children, George( Donna) Trombley Jr of Warren, Bruce (Barbara) Trombley of Pawtucket, David( Stacey) Trombley of Riverside, Michele (Dave) Tarantelli,of Warren Lisa( Rick) Hinkson, of Deerfield N.H and Carol (Grand puppy Zuzu) Trombley of Warren. Your mom was always smiling and always had great words of advice for me. I remember babysitting for all of you during the summer when she worked at the Tourister. She will be greatly missed by many. She is now dancing in Heaven. May she RIP.
