Obituary For Emily Kraimer
Emily (Morrisroe) Kraimer, 85, of Barrington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. Born in County Roscommon, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Feeney) Morrisroe.
Emily came from simple beginnings where she was one of nine children. Growing up in a big, lively family, she learned early how to share, to work hard, to make room for everyone, to treat everyone with respect and to love generously. She carried those gifts with her all her life.
Above all else, Emily was a kind and caring mother and grandmother. She was the steady heart of her family. Raising her four children and watching her nine grandchildren grow were the greatest joy and purpose of her life, and she poured herself into all of them with patience, warmth, and unwavering devotion.
Those who knew her will never forget her lovely Irish brogue, which did not fade no matter how many years passed, or her wonderful sense of humor. She had a gift of making people laugh and she could lighten a room with a well-timed remark and a mischievous twinkle in her green eyes. Her kindness extended to anyone lucky enough to cross her path. For all her warmth and wit, she never sought attention for herself. She was happiest with the people she loved and making those around her feel special.
Emily is survived by her children: Paul Morrisroe (Liz), Neil Kraimer (Anabel Silvero), and David Kraimer; her grandchildren: Paul J. Morrisroe (Caitlyn), Kathleen Morrisroe, Patrick Morrisroe (Kelly Norman), Peter Morrisroe, Matthew Azia, Samantha Azia, Joaquin Kraimer, Izzy Kraimer and Mia Kraimer; and her siblings: Michael Morrisroe, Mary Cronin, Hilda Banks, and Kathleen Euland.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Judy Azia; her grandson: Michael Morrisroe; her siblings: John, Peter, James and Theresa Morrisroe; and her parents.
Her family is deeply grateful to the staffs of Rhode Island Hospital, Atria Bay Spring and HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center for the loving care they gave Emily.
Funeral arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI 02885. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of
Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main Street, Warren, RI 02885. In lieu of flowers, donations may
