Obituary For Esther Almeida

Esther (Baxter) Almeida (62) was laid to rest at Warren South Burial Ground on June 12, 2025 after a brief illness where she passed away on May 13, 2025 in Winter Haven, FL.

Esther was the daughter of Edna and Donald Baxter and resided in the Bristol/Warren RI area until moving to Winter Haven, FL. She was the wife of the late Thomas Almeida and companion of Jack Dixon.

Esther is survived by 2 children, Kira and Johnathan, sisters Elsie, Emilie and Elin, brothers Dana, Dennis and Daniel and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and an infant brother David.

The family wishes to acknowledge the Winter Haven Hospital and Good Shepherd Hospice for their care during Esther's final days.

Service are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI.

    Esther was a kind person , fun , funny, creative, positive and a genuinely warm and giving person , when I think of her I will always remember how genuine she was and her smile..my sincere condolences to her family and children

    The last 5 years w mom were amazing. She was the mother I always hoped for and I was glad to know her in the last years and really appreciate her. One of my favorite things is she would come down to Lakeland and help me with my apartment. She was the first member of the family to truly meet me for the first time. I'm glad she got to meet my fiance before she passed I'll miss you mom, and I love you
