Obituary For Evelyn M. Wilson

Evelyn M. Wilson, 84, of Warren, RI passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015.

She was the loving wife of Raymond L. Wilson, Jr. to whom she was married for 61 years.

Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late James S. and Ethel (Murray) McKeon.

Evelyn was a graduate of Trinity College, Washington D.C. and worked as an economic analyst for Standard Oil.She later worked as administrative assistant for Project LEARN and retired as business manager for Westbrook, CT Public Schools. She was a member of both the Westbrook Board of Tax Review and the Board of Directors of the Westbrook Public Library. She was the Director of Religious Education for St. Mark's Church in Westbrook. After 27 years in Westbrook, Evelyn and Raymond retired to Warren,RI where they have lived for the past 28 years. Evelyn was a lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to the Sick at St. Jean Baptiste Church.

She leaves behind her devoted husband,Raymond Wilson, children Marilyn Alvord, Geoffrey Wilson, Kathleen Taylor, Eileen Urbanowicz, Elizabeth Pirruccio and Jane Current, 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy F. Murphy, of Torrington, CT. She was predeceased by her son Daniel Wilson and grandson Keith Wilson.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on August 1, 2015 at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Warren, RI.

    We were very blessed to have met Evelyn through one of her children, Jane Current. She was a kind, fascinating, intelligent woman. She and Ray raised a wonderful family and she will live on in all her children. You can see a little bit of her in every one of them. We will miss her and her smile and her laugh. Rest in peace Evelyn. We love you.
