Obituary For Filomena C. Sousa

Filomena C. Sousa, 89 of Warren passed away Wednesday April 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Santa Barbara, Azores Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Jose Machado Sousa and Maria (Adelaide) Sousa.

Filomena lived in Portugal most of her life coming to Warren 15 years ago. She is survived by five sons, Jose L. Romeiro and Antonio H. Romeiro both of California, Jorge M. Romeiro, Franciso Romeiro and Joao A. Romeiro all of Portugal, two daughters Filomena Machado of Azores Portugal and Lucia Medeiros of Warren with whom she lived with. She also leaves one sister Zulmira Machado.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 19th, 2014 from 9:00 am to 9:45 am, with a graveside Service at 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren. www.wjsmithfh.com

    I'm sorry your loss. It's never easy to cope with one of the most damaging things to deal with in life. I just thought I might share something that helped me cope with the loss of a loved one. Revelation 21:3,4 talks about a time when the disease called death will be no more. It says that it will be a thing of the past. Furthermore, the bible tells us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will come back to life on earth. Hold on to these truths to uplift you and and your family in such difficult circumstances. The God of all comfort will carry you through.
