Obituary For Florence M. Orefice

Florence Flo (Fanelli) Orefice, 99 of Bristol, RI ,formerly of Barrington, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2020 at Silver Creek Manor, Bristol. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Orefice.

Florence was born on May 29, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Samuel & Elizabeth (Trunco) Fanelli.

She was the owner with her husband of the former Flos Women & Childrens Clothing Store located in Barrington RI for over 30 years.

She was an active communicant of St. Jean Baptiste/St Mary of the Bay Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother and she loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing golf, cards, reading books, and was an avid New England Patriots fan.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maragret Megg Natale and is survived by her son, Michael A. Orefice, Jr. and his wife Karen of North Kingstown.

Cherished grandmother of Jordan Natale and his wife Pamela, Zachary Orefice and his wife Jenny, Arielle St. Sauveur and her husband Max. She was the great grandmother of Owen & Ellie Orefice & Lily Natale.

Her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on November 4, 2020 at 11AM at St. Mary of the Bay Church, Main Street, Warren, burial in St. Marys Cemetery, Bristol.

Relatives & friends are invited & may call on November 4, 2020 from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM in Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to the Bristol Rescue, 4 Annawamscutt Drive, Bristol, RI 02809 or The Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.

Condolences for the lost of your mother.Walt and i have know your mom a long tme. My mom always shopped at Flos and then I did.When we moved a to Chicago and Walt traved he call Flo put an outfit together for Barbara and pick it up.Then 19 years ago we moved to Bristol Woods.We were so excited that Flo and Mike were there'Flo was very special to us as well as your dad.WE loved them both and so enjoyed them..Kathy and i loved going over and just sit and talk with her.Your mom was a beautiful person with such a faith and a real blessing to me.Nine years ago we moved to Charlotte but i was in touch with her as i missed her.May you feel Gods comfort and strength at this time.Walt and Barbara Giller

I have the fondest memories as a child, of my father, Ted Fanelli, (Aunt Florence's brother) getting us up at 5 am to start out on our 6 hour road trip from Pennsylvania to Rhode Island. We had such good times and created so many memories at those family gatherings. I feel so incredibly fortunate that I was able to reconnect with Aunt Florence over the past months. She was so delightful to speak with on the phone. She never stopped amazing me. She recently made me laugh when she told me she was watching her "Carbs"! At 99, she definitely had a better memory than I will ever have. She was incredible at many things and her love for her family was above and beyond. I will surly miss but never forget her. She is now at peace with many in her family. I am her niece, Gloryanne (Fanelli) Quinn
