Franklin Alves 68, of Warren died Saturday March 14 2015 at RI Hospital.

He was born in Warren, a son of the late Diamantino and Florence (LaPage) Alves.

Mr. Alves was a painter and farmer for all of his life, he has been a Warren resident all his life, he enjoyed fishing, farming, painting, and had a family farm corn stand on Long Lane in Warren for many years selling the Silver Queen Corn, and also had rabbits and raspberries at the stand .

Mr. Alves is survived by his son Franklin Cote of Warren, his daughters Becky Andrade of Warren, and April Woerner of New Berlin Illinois.

He was the brother of Diamond Alves of Warren, and Lorraine Christown of Bristol. Mr. Alves was the grandfather of 4, and the great grandfather of 1.

He was the brother of the late Louis Alves, and the late Antonio Alves.

His funeral service will be held Thursday March 19 2015 at 11:00am in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren , burial will follow in South Burial Ground, Warren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend, visiting hours Wednesday from 4-7pm
