FREDERICK W. PALMER, 78, of Metacom Avenue, died Friday April 4, 2003 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

He was the husband of Josephine (Bucko) Palmer.

Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Harold and Evelina (Fournier) Palmer, he lived in Pawtucket before moving to Warren 37 years ago.

Mr. Palmer had worked for DeStefano Ford for 11 years, retiring in 1989. He had also been the former owner of Fred's Arco, East Providence.

He was an World War II Veteran serving with the Army Air Forces & Infantry.

He was a member of the Portuguese American Club.

Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Patricia A. Palmer of Warren; and two sisters, Gertrude Kapinos of Emporia, Va., and Helen Fox of Pawtucket. He was the brother of the late Robert Palmer.

Burial will be in St. Jean-Baptiste Cemetery.
