Obituary For Geoffrey B. Feather
Geoffrey B. Feather of Warren, RI passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025 after a series of medical issues. A son of Arthur and Nellie (Crompton) Feather, and the beloved husband of Gail (Luther) Feather of 60 years, Geoff was a longtime resident of Warren.
Geoff was born on March 26, 1941 in a bomb shelter in Manchester, England in the midst of World War II. He came to the United States with his family as a young boy and settled in Warren. He was a loyal, loving husband to his wife Gail and a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Geoff was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was also a good problem solver who enjoyed a challenge that he could tinker with and ultimately fix. Geoff had a great sense of humor and was a friend to many. He had a warm, welcoming personality, and was happiest when spending time with his family, and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up. He also took great pride in all of their personal successes and accomplishments.
He enjoyed traveling, boating, golfing, and wintering in Florida for many years with his wife Gail. He was a lifelong New York Giants football fan, and a car enthusiast who enjoyed driving his Corvette around the area. Geoff was a former Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Bristol as well as a member of the Finance Committee for many years. He was also a member of the Bristol Elks club. Geoff spent 56 loyal and dedicated years working at Evan’s Findings Co., East Providence, RI, spending most of those years as the Plant Manager. He was a highly respected and trusted mentor to many colleagues, and played an important role in the growth of the company.
Geoff is survived by his wife Gail of Warren, daughter Kristine (Michael) DaRosa of Scarborough, Maine, and his sons Jeffrey (Suzanne) Feather, and Paul (Tricia) Feather of Warren and Barrington respectively. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, and Joshua DaRosa, Michael (Lauren) and Ashley (Dylan Simas) Feather, and Kaylee and Tyler (Samantha) Feather. Additionally, he is survived by his great grandchildren, Cole, Sarah, Aiden, and Carson Feather.
Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 4-7PM. My uncle Geoff was only 5 years older than me so he was really more like a brother than uncle. We hung out together a lot growing up even as teenagers. He lived in Warren and I lived in Riverside. Great guy. I will miss him. Bob Alosi
