Obituary For George "Jerry" G. Brimmer Sr.

George “Jerry” G. Brimmer Sr., 83, of Warren, RI, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 after a short illness. A son of the late Louis J. and Irene (Jarvais) Brimmer and the beloved husband of 58 years to Juliette (Noto) Brimmer, Jerry was a lifelong resident of Warren.

Jerry was a hardworking man all of his life and he loved what he did. He had many jobs over the years, but his most notable were his seventeen years working for the Warren Highway Department and seventeen years at DaPonte Landscaping. Jerry was easily recognized for his green Dickies and for plowing the sidewalks in town. He was a collector of all things and was often found picking up scrap metal, hosting his famous garage sales, and looking for his next “treasure”. In his leisure time, Jerry spent countless hours in his garage working on whichever project he had going on at the time. Jerry was always there for those in need and thought nothing of putting down what he was doing to help. Jerry truly loved people and was a member of almost every local club around, including The Elks Club, The Stripers, the German Club, the Portuguese Soccer Club, as well as several others. Jerry was an avid pool player and would hit the tables whenever he could.

In addition to his beloved wife, Juliette, Jerry is survived by his sons, George “Jerry” G. Brimmer Jr. and his wife Daisy of Seekonk, MA and Joel Brimmer and his wife Cindy of West Warwick, RI; his sister, Judi Tavares of Tiverton, RI; and his two grandchildren, Kennedi and Logan and three step-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Bobby Brimmer, Louis Brimmer and Pat Cloutier.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885.
