My condolences to George's family. I was part of George's astronomy family. George always had a smile on his face and really enjoyed doing outreaches. Nobody more dedicated to public outreaches then George. I will miss our friendly banter that we would share with each other. Rest in peace my friend.

I will miss you, George. You were in so many ways the voice of ASSNE. We depended on you for your contacts with the media, and we were often entertained by your cheery comments as a Club Officer. I know that you have returned to the Great Intelligence and that your spirit lives in the vast vault of the Cosmos- the place you loved best. Goodbye my friend.

My condolences to George Huftalen's family. I belong to George's other family, ASSNE . We will miss him very much. Our moto is to Educate and Inspire . George lived up to that phrase at every public outreach. He was definitely a people person. RIP my friend.

George used to remind me all the time, "Brenda! The Perseids (or Leonids, or Orionids) are tonight! Get outside and watch them!" More than that, he was my sounding board while we were going through chemo at the same time. We were both scared, of course, but he showed me what it meant to have faith and trust. I will miss that quiet faith and unshakeable optimism that he shared with me. And every time I look at the stars, I know he'll be right there among them. And for that - and his friendship - I will always be thankful. "For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love." - Carl Sagan My most heartfelt, and deepest condolences to his mother and his family.
