George Payne Jr, 90 of Crestwood Nursing Home passed away Sunday November 2, 2014 at the nursing home. Born in Providence he was a son of the late George and Elizabeth (Gabitt). Mr. Payne worked at Finns Seafood on the loading dock. He was a member of St. Mary of the Bay Church.

Before going to the nursing home he lived at Life Inc. Group Home. He was involved with the Potter league for animals, the food bank, meals on wheels and the senior bowling league.

He was also a brother of the late Irving Payne, and Evelyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
