Obituary For Gloria Wilson

Gloria Grace (Botelho) Wilson, 85, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Allan R. Wilson Sr., with whom she shared nearly 56 years of marriage.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Agnes (Pacheco) Botelho. Gloria worked at East Bay Printing in Warren until her retirement. Prior to that, she worked for the Warren 5 & 10 Store.

Affectionately known as “Glo” to many, she lived in Fall River, Swansea, and Bristol before settling in Warren, where she raised her family. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her great-granddaughter, Emmy Grace, who was a constant source of joy and love in her later years.

In her spare time, she loved decorating for every holiday- especially the outside of her home and front porch- and took great joy in knowing that neighbors and friends looked forward to seeing her festive displays each season. She also enjoyed knitting, doing puzzles, tending to her flowers and plants, and taking leisurely drives in search of new antique and country shops.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lori Wilson Medeiros (Michael) and Sandra Wilson; her daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Wilson; and her four grandchildren: Heather Wilson (Larren), Marisa Medeiros-Brindamour (Michael), Megan Medeiros (John), and Hayley Wilson and her great- granddaughter, Emmy Grace. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Maureen Ponte; brother-in-law, Michael Ponte; and godchild, Michael S. Ponte (Kim); and several cousins on her side of the family. She was the mother of the late Allan R. Wilson Jr., whom she deeply missed and held forever in her heart. She was also the sister of the late Gilbert Botelho and aunt of the late Debra Botelho.

Services are with Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI 02885, where the family will receive relatives and guests for visitation on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 8:30-10:30 AM followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main St., Warren, RI 02885. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to: Warren Fire Department and Rescue, 1 Joyce Street, Warren, RI 02885.
