Obituary For H. Joseph Leonard

Leonard, H. Joseph, 85 of Swansea, died Friday, March 2, at The Miriam Hospital. Born in Providence a son of the late Herman J. Sr., and Gladys (Sands) Leonard. Married for 34 years to Andrea L. Leonard. He was an Industrial Engineer for Trifari. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He served on the USS Healy and the USS Gatlin. Besides his wife he leaves a son Richard A. Alegria of Rehoboth, and a daughter, Karen A. Cook of Bristol. Brother of Gladys Gregory and her husband Norman of Greenville and the late Katherine Cuomo. He leaves his grandchildren, Brittany, Richard, Meghan and Katarina. He also leaves his sister in law Marilyn Volpe and her husband George Borkow of Geyserville, CA. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 6th at 10:30 in the South Attleboro Assembly of God, 1052 Newport Avenue, South Attleboro, MA. With God as his master he has lived a beautiful life - one that now has delivered him to the heaven he deserves.
