Gallo, Helen Howard, age 90, of Bristol, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Silver Creek Manor. She was the widow of Ralph E. Gallo. Born in Coventry, RI, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Elsie ( Andrews) Howard and sister to the late Marion Eastwood. She graduated from the Rhode Island State College, now URI, in 1940 and was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. Mrs. Gallo taught home economic at the Guiteres junior High and later at the Bristol Senior High School for a combined total of 35 years, retiring in 1975. She attended St. Michael's Church in Bristol. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren, Funeral & Burial will be private at the request of the family.
