Irene Yvonne Poisson, 92 of Bristol, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center,

Providence. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (Beaulieu) Emond. She was the wife of the late Paul Roland Poisson.

She worked for Lloyd Manufacturing in both assembly and inspection. She was a member of the Benjamin Church Tenants Association. She was an avid golfer, and enjoyed painting and bingo. She was a member of the Senior Chorus and was a proud and wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. She was the beloved mother of William, Steven, and Ronald Poisson all of Bristol; Jacqueline Poisson of Westerly and Paula Pereira of Warren. She also leaves ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was the half sister of Raymond Emond of Beverly, MA, the late Oscar and Gerard Emond. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Hodgson, Jeanette Paquette and Florence Raymond.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, Thursday, February 18th. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am in St Jean Baptiste Church, 328 Main Street, Warren. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
