This week my grandpa Jack passed away. Anyone who knows me well knows my grandparents helped raise me while I was in high school so I consider my grandpa like a father to me. He was a very kind man and in my life I've never met anyone who had one bad thing to say about him. My grandma keeps telling me all the nice things that the staff at his nursing home have said about him. He was always making people laugh and I'll always remember little memories here and there of certain jokes he would make. I tear up writing this because it really is such a loss that the world doesn't have him anymore. I keep thinking of the memories I had while living with my grandparents and how special that is to me. I feel so thankful to have moved to Rhode Island and to live with my grandma and grandpa. I don't think I would have had the chance to know my grandparents the way I do. I hope grandpa is up in heaven riding around on his motorcycle with his railroad hat on looking down on my grandma to make sure she's okay. I love you both to the moon and back.
