Obituary For Jennie A. Friese

Jennie Ann Friese (Proulx), 36, of Bristol, RI beloved wife of Jason Friese and Mother to Jackson, Jameson and Batman(her beloved dog), departed this world on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, following a long and courageous battle with Mantle cell lymphoma. Born March 28, 1984, Jen was raised in Warren where she graduated with honors from LaSalle Academy. She received a bachelors degree in mathematics and economics from Fairfield University, from which she graduated with honors in 2006. It was at Fairfield that Jennie met and first befriended the wonderful group who remained her best friends to the very end. Jennie was born with a giant heart and a warmth of spirit that drew people to her and her life was filled with friends, family and laughter. Jennie first met Jay, when she was 18 and the two were married on September 5th, 2009. In addition to her happy marriage, Jennie was blessed with two beautiful sons, whom she loved dearly. Jennie took enormous pride in motherhood and was a constant presence at her sons soccer games, karate and school events.

She was exceptionally proud of her family and had a wonderfully close relationship with her mother, Debbie Abbruzzi, until her mothers death last year, as well as her father who was by her side through her battle to the end. Jennie loved her spring vacations in Aruba along with her summer vacations in New Hampshire. For the last six years, Jennie fought valiantly against her illness and despite tremendous fear and uncertainty, never lost her sense of humor or her optimism. Her grace in the face of such difficult circumstances, inspired all that knew her. Jennie is survived by her grandmother, Barbara Proulx, her father, Bob Proulx and her stepmother Sue Proulx of Bristol as well as her stepfather, Dave Sardinha of Warren.

She leaves behind her brother Jason, wife Jennifer, niece Penelope and nephews Aiden, Quinn and Liam along with step brothers, stepsisters and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

"Due to COVID restrictions, a Mass of Christian Burial will be private. However a celebration of Jennie's life will take place in the Summer of 2021."
