Jennie ( Castigliego) Sears, 77 of of Portsmouth and formerly Bristol, died Monday, March 21st at RI Hospital.

She was the wife of Ward Lenard Sears, they were married for over 54 years .

She was born in Bristol, a daughter of the late Nicola and Emily (Carbone) Castigliego .

Besides her husband she is survived by her two daughters Nicola and William Uzell of Shrewsbury MA, Shelley and Dan DAmato of Tolland Ct., she was the grandmother of Amanda Uzell, Brandon Uzell, Dillon DAmato, and Aidan DAmato. Sister of Jessica and John Garakop of Warren. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Through the years Jennie focused on raising her girls, as they moved with Lees jobs, setting up homes in Maine, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, and Connecticut , Rhode Island and a few others.

She had a passion for bridge, dance, jazz music, and cooking.

She will be dearly missed.

Services are with Smith Funeral Memorial & Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, where family will receive friends Wednesday, March 23rd, from 4- 7 pm. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00am from the funeral home, with a funeral service outside mass at 10 in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 141 State St,. Bristol.

Burial in North Burial Ground.
