Joan Marie (Marchand) Martin, 86, of Somerset, MA, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late George Martin, with whom they shared 45 years of marriage.

Joan was full of life and love. She was a manager at Mall Tanning in Swansea, MA for many years. She was very kind and took care of her family, friends and neighbors. She was a fabulous cook and was famous for “meme’s meatballs”. Every year she would travel with her two daughters, Lisa and Karen for a fun ‘girls’ trip and loved spending weekends with her son and daughter in law. She took many trips to Pennsylvania to see her grandson and great grandchildren. She was always ready for a spontaneous trip to Foxwoods Casino.

An avid Patriots fan, she enjoyed watching the games and cheered on Tom Brady #12.

She has many nieces and nephews and friends who adored her. She was the sister of the late Raymond and Donald Marchand, Teresa Cabral, Alice Calderiso and Lorraine Noons.
