Joao C. Meneses, 75, of Bristol RI, passed away peacefully in his residence on Saturday, October 19, 2024, surrounded by family. He was Born in Terceira, Azores on September 14, 1949. He was a Bristol resident for 35+ years and the husband of the Late Fatima (Maria) Meneses.

Joao was a hardworking man, working over 30+ years at Carol Cable where he retired. During his younger years he was heavily involved with the church of Saint Thomas in Warren where he held several Domingas and was President of the Holy Ghost committee for a period. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports. He loved cheering on his favorite soccer team Sporting SCP as well as his favorite basketball team the Boston Celtics.

Joao was survived by his two sons Jeff & Paul. As well as his sister in Terceira, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Rita & Caesar Pacheco who helped care for him during his final days.

Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI, 02885, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 1-5PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 9AM followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave, Warren, RI 02885. A Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol, RI 02809.
