Obituary For John J. Langello

John J. Langello Jr, 83, died Monday Oct. 27 2014 at home.

He was the husband of Joyce W. (Clarke) Langello. He was born in Warren a son of the late John J. and Adeline (Boeniger) Langello Sr. John was a Boiler Operator for the Converse Co. / P.F. Industries for over 30 years, before he retired.

Mr. Langello was a US Army Veteran, serving in the 1st infantry regiment, during the Korean War, and later joined the National Guard serving for a total of over 20 years , and attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a Warren resident his whole life, he was a member of the V.F.W., and a life member of the Portuguese American Club, an avid Boston Red Sox, and New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, at the family get- togethers. He also loved animals especially his cat Peter. Besides his wife he is survived by his children John T. and Kristine Langello of Portsmouth, Kevin Langello of Warren, Kimberly Langello and Tom Nerney of Lincoln, Lori Mansi and Steve of Swansea, Kristen Pimental and John of Bristol, Pamela Blackmar and Len of Riverside. A sister Arlene Benevides of Bristol. He was he grandfather of 8, and the great grandfather of 2, also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Felix Langello, and also the late Rita Rishe.

His funeral service will be held Tuesday Nov. 4,2014 at 10:30 in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, burial with Military Honors will be in St. Marys Cemetery Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. visiting hours Monday Nov. 3 2014 from 4-7pm.     So sorry to hear of your loss Kim and family. Having recently lost my father, I understand all too well the pain and emotional overload. Be comforted to know that you will always have him with you in your memories, and before long, you will smile when you think of him and find a wonderful inner peace that you were fortunate enough to have had this man in your lives. My thoughts are with you.
