Obituary For Jonathan Burton Reed

Reed, Jonathan Burton, 40, of Warren, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5th at home.

Born in Providence, a son of Ann Marie (Palumbo) Primiano and the late Augustus B. Reed. Beloved husband of Colleen Sweeney Reed.

Jon, was a chef for Flat Waves Restaurant in Middletown, RI, having previously worked at the Topside Restaurant. He was also an EMT who worked on Alert Ambulance. He was a former member of the Warren Fire Department Rescue Squad. He loved music and was the lead singer for Ednas Medicine and MindSet. Besides his mother and wife he leaves his children, Aaron Cloutier, Gavin Reed and Aspen Reed. Loving brother of Roland Brule, Sandra Achilli, Randall Brule, Michael Reed, Michael Blank, Christopher Blank and Timothy Blank. He also leaves his Step Father, Anthony Primiano and 19 nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren where family will receive friends, Thursday, September 10th, 4-8pm.     I can't express how sorry I am for the loss of your son, Ann. Also to his wife and children and siblings. His Dad was a long-time friend and that is how I met Jonathan many years ago. May he rest in peace with his father.

    To the Reed Family: I am so sorry to read of the loss of your loved one. During times like this it is all to easy to feel helpless and without hope. I take comfort in God's word the bible when faced with situations similar to what you and your family may be going through. Revelation 21:4 and Isaiah 25:8 speak of a time when death and sickness will be a thing of the past. These promises are certain to come true because God can not lie. Continue to ask him for endurance until that time comes. My prayers are with you and your dear family.
