Obituary For Joseph F Belanger

Riverside - Joseph F. Joe B Belanger, 76, of Riverside, died Tuesday August 25,2020 at Hope Hospice in Providence. He was the husband of Carol (DeSpirito) Belanger, they were married for over 48 years. He was born in Brooklyn, NY. Joe B was a self-employed carpenter, who built campgrounds for many years. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Joe B has been a Riverside resident for the last 18 years coming from Warren. He was the Past President of the Italian American Club in Warren, he was also a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 379 of Bristol. He was a former member of the Warren Grange Joe B Loved to travel, go camping, fishing and hunting. Joe B loved woodworking and made custom birdhouses with great detail. His family would like to thank Hope Hospice Nurses and CNAs for their help with him and also the Gardner and Manchester Families for helping support him throughout the years. Besides his wife he is survived by his sister Gail Moakler and her husband Dr. John W. Moakler of Barrington. His sister in law Marie Russian of Barrington. Joe B was also survived by many nieces and nephews which he loved. He was the brother of the late Richard Belanger, John Belanger, Russell Harriman, Raymond Gardner and also Claire Eldhart. Joe B was the brother in law of the late Bernard Russian His funeral service will be held Wednesday September 2, 2020 at 5:30 pm in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren RI. Burial will be private, Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday from 3:00pm 6:00pm. MILITARY HONORS will be held at 3:15 pm in the parking lot of funeral home. Uncle Joe! I wanted to take this time to tell you what an impact you had on my life! you were not only the most amazing man, you were fun and supportive, loving and kind and I am so honored I got to have you in my life! you made everyones life you came in contact with better and Im so thankful you were my uncle. I will think about you everyday and my children will think about everyday. Life will never be the same without you, but I know you will have a cold one waiting for me when I see you again. I love you. take Mason out for a ride on your bikes and know you are in out hearts and our minds...Godspeed.
