Warren Joseph L. Sbardella, Sr., 88, of Warren died Monday February 24,2020 at Hope Hospice in Providence.

He was the husband of Rosemarie (McDonald) Sbardella.

Joseph was born in Providence a son of the late Rocco and Matilda (Gentile) Sbardella.

He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

Mr. Sbardella was a Vessel and Pipe Designer for the Hart and Herzog Engineering Company for over 40 years, before retiring. He has lived in Warren since 1961 coming from Providence.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay Church.

Joseph was also employed at the former Tower Iron Works and he was also a draftsman.

He was a member of the German Club in Warren, the American Legion and the Bristol Elks Lodge. He enjoyed watching hockey.

Besides his wife he is survived by his son Joseph L. Sbardella, Jr. of Warren, his daughter Valerie N. Sbardella of Barrington.

He was the brother of Rocco Sbardella of Portland Maine, Peter Sbardella of Cranston.

Mr. Sbardella was the grandfather of 4, and the great grandfather of 2.

He was the brother of the late Albert Sbardella, Louis Sbardella, Edward Sbardella,Patrick Sbardella and Elsie Sbardella. Joseph was the grandfather of the late Lindsay Sbardella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday March 2, 2020 at 11:00 am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main Street, Warren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
