Joseph Motta, 85 of Warren died Friday Aug 28 2015, he was the husband of Veronica J.(Vargas) Motta,they were married for over 57 years.

Mr. Motta was born in Taunton Ma. A son of the late Manuel and Cora ( Faria) Motta.

He was a machine operator for over 43 years for the J & J Corrugated Box Co.

Joseph was a Warren resident for over 23 years coming from Somerset he was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle church in Warren.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Valerie Latham and her husband Ross of Warren, a sister Lorraine Pontes of Fall River, a nephews Alan Pontes of Fall River Ma., and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Motta was the brother of the late Charles Motta.

His funeral will be held Monday at 9:30am from the Smith Funeral & Memorial Services , 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave. Warren, burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are MONDAY morning 9:30-10:30am.
