Joyce S. Primiano, 82, of Warren, died Wednesday, at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Warren, a daughter of the late State Senator William J. Smith and Emma (Nerone) Smith. Beloved wife of Albert A. Primiano.

She worked as a clerk for Roger Williams College retiring in 1994. She was a communicate of St Mary of the Bay Church. Before her fathers passing, she did the bookkeeping for William J Smith & Son and the former Smiths Drug Store. She later became co-owner of the drug store with her sister Shirley. She had also worked for the former First National Grocery Store in Bristol for 11 years. She was a member of the Warren Democratic Club.

Loving mother of Marianne Primiano of Warren; Michael J. Primiano of Barrington, Anthony A. and William J. Primiano both of Warren. Much loved sister of Shirley McCanna and Mary Alfred both of Warren. She was also the sister of the late Frances Coyne and Augustine W. Smith. Devoted grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of two.
