Kenneth A. Farrell

Ken (Bubba) Farrell of Wakefield passed away on April 18, 2019 as a result of complications from Diabetes. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raymond W. and Shirley B. (Robinson) Farrell. He lived in Wakefield since 2014, and previously in Barrington where he had resided since 1957. He was a 1967 graduate of Barrington High School, and he later received an Associates Degree in Engineering from Roger Williams College in Bristol. Prior to retiring, he worked several years in food services at Child Care Connection. While Ken led an unconventional life, he was a happy, very easygoing guy who got along with everyone and had a great sense of humor. People that didnt understand Ken definitely missed out on a great friendship. Ken enjoyed playing the piano any chance he could. In his younger years, he could be found at the beach swimming long distances in the open water. By far, his most favorite past time was tennisâ?¦ who else do you know that would carry around a regulation net to set up to play when the courts had been shut down in the off seasons? Ken was the brother of the late David W. Farrell of Acushnet, Ma, and Gordon R. Farrell (wife Caryn) of North Conway, NH. He was also the spirited uncle of Jennifer Farrell, Sarah Alves (wife Ana), Colleen Farrell and Sean Farrell. A memorial service and burial will be planned for a later date.
