Obituary For Kenneth F. Wajda

Kenneth Faustyn Wajda, 57, a lifelong Barrington resident, died Wednesday, July 29, 2026 after a brief illness. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Dennis J. and Anne (Teixeira) Wajda. For 29 years he was the beloved husband of Wendy (Kaiser) Wajda, whom he began dating when she was 17 years old.
Kenny and his wife owned K&W Automotive for many years. His memberships included Dads Firework Crew; the East Bay Rod & Gun Club and the Mt Moosilauke ATV Club. He was the organizer and co-founder of Save the Racks, which raised funds for breast cancer research for the Dartmouth Hitchcock Cancer Center in NH. In his earlier years he was an Eagle Scout and Altar Boy. Kenny loved spending time with family and friends. His greatest joy was being in the mountains of New Hampshire.
Besides his wife he leaves his sister Deborah Wajda of Greene, RI. He leaves 7 nieces and nephews, Dennis J. Wajda III; Robert J. Wajda; Laura Ventura; Cory Mann; Ashley Reynolds; Kyle Kaiser and Kimberly Sousa, as well as 7 great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dennis J. Wajda Jr.
Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, where family will receive friends Friday, August 7, 2026, from 4-8pm His funeral will begin from Smith Funeral & Memorial Services on Saturday August 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main Street, Warren, RI.

    my condolences to Wendy and the Wajda families, as i just read about Ken's passing! Ken was a great guy and always was pleasant and happy when I visited them at his Automotive Repair shop. I will miss our conversations and hope the best for his family. Jay Ferreira
