Obituary For Kevin C. Sullivan

Kevin C. Sullivan, 61, of Warren, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on September 12, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. The devoted husband of Patricia (Karcz) Sullivan and the oldest child of Constance (Heon) and the late Raymond L. Sullivan, Jr., Kevin grew up in Central Falls before settling in Warren over 28 years ago.

A graduate of CCRI with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice as well as an Associate’s Degree from New England Institute of Technology in Electronics, Kevin worked as an Electronics Technician for Diebold-Nixdorf for over 30 years. He was a President of the former St. Casimir’s Church Parish Council and a long-time member of the Family Bowling and Family Golf Leagues where he had many friends. Anyone close to Kevin knew he was a huge car enthusiast. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, was a skilled woodworker and an all-around Mr. Fix-it. Kevin enjoyed traveling with his wife and called Cabo San Lucas, Mexico his “happy place”. Kevin was a quiet and humble man who was very generous and giving to everyone. A devoted son, brother, husband, uncle and friend, he will be missed greatly.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother, Kevin is survived by his brothers, Steven Sullivan and his wife Brenda of Harrisville, Keith Sullivan of Smithfield, and Scott Sullivan and his wife Ashly of North Providence; his sister, Kristin Sullivan of Central Falls; and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Mark Daniels, and Diane and Michael Nelson, all of Bristol. Kevin was also the very proud uncle of his nephews and nieces, Patrick, Haley, Katie, Emma, Riley and Benjamin Sullivan. Kevin was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law John and Barbara Karcz, sister-in-law Tina-Marie Sullivan and uncle Fr. Charles Heon, OMI.

Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren where the family will receive relatives and friends for Visitation on Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 4 - 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will begin on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Alexander Church, 221 Main Street, Warren. Burial will be at St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Greenlawn Avenue, Warren.

Almacs what seems like 100 yrs ago is when Kevin and I met. We spend many many afternoons that turned into nights sitting in Kevin's car talking about our hopes and dreams for the future. I know he wanted a good woman (which he got in Pat), a nice car, a comfortable home and a job he enjoyed. Pat you helped make his dreams come true. You were the Best condiment to his meat & potatoes he could have ever asked for. Your travels were the icing on the cake. With smiles and deepest sympathy. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Kevin was the most wonderful neighbor and friend anyone could ever want. He was always ready to lend a hand and during the numerous snow storms over the years, you would see Kevin out there with his snow plow, plowing out all the neighbors drive ways and paths so they could get to into their homes. Kevin was the epitome of what a good neighbor should be, only he was a GREAT neighbor. We will miss you, Kevin
