Obituary For Lara Grace Wright

Lara Wright, 46, of Warren died peacefully at her home on January 24th, 2019.

Lara is survived by her brother David and his wife Kate and their son Jason of Hyde Park, her brother Adam and his husband Jay of Providence, her father Alan of Randolph, and her aunt Nancy and uncle John of Seekonk. Lara is predeceased by her mother Mona of Providence.

Lara possessed a great sense of humor, liveliness, spirit, self-determination, and feistiness that will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her. Lara has been a long-term member of the Corliss community in Warren, RI. The Corliss Center and its funding organization, the Corliss Institute were created to serve the deaf and special needs community of Rhode Island. The Corliss community is made up of a highly interactive day program at the Corliss Center itself, with many members also residents at the adjoining group homes on the small campus in Warren. Being a part of this community allowed Lara to communicate and interact in ways that never would have been possible without the care and attention of the staff and other Corliss members. This has been a true home and an additional family to Lara.

Lara was a blessing and it was a great privilege to know her and be part of her life, she was a very funny person and everyone just love her because of the love that she carried. she loved everyone equally, never discriminate or judge anyone. We here at Corliss have nothing but joy and fun memories of her. she was a joy to be around and the life of the party. Lara brings smile to all of our faces every day here at Corliss, whenever we are having a party here, Lara brings life to the party by telling us what she wants, how she wants it, even to the choice of staff to do things. we cannot believe that she is no longer with us. her house is almost empty without her and she will be greatly missed.
