Obituary For Lawrence Joseph Cashman

Lawrence J. Cashman III, 73 of Cranston passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

Born in Providence, the son of the late Lawrence J. Cashman II and Mary F. (Dillon) Cashman.

He was the husband of the late Edythe A. (Hood) Cashman.

Lawrence was a kind and generous person who loved his children. He enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Noella dance, listening to the Platters on the radio and playing cards with his buddies at PACE. He was a self-employed barber and painting contractor. He was a member of Pace Organization of RI and St. Matthews Church in Cranston.

He leaves his beloved granddaughter, Noella E. Teylan-Cashman; two sons and two daughters, Lawrence J. Cashman IV and his companion Sally A. Lagrata, Melissa A. Cashman-Smith and her husband Bruce R. Smith, Kimberly A. Cashman and her wife Jennifer L. Cashman and Scott Cashman. He is survived by his faithful cousin, Thomas Blessington. He was the father of the late children, Lori A. Cashman, Matthew Cashman and Sean Cashman. He was the brother of the late Maureen F. Day and the cousin of the late Jack Blessington.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, October 13th at 9:30am at St. Matthews Church, 1299 Elmwood Ave., Cranston, RI 02910. Burial will be private.

    Dear Missy and family, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was always such a happy, carefree soul who really loved his family. He loved his cousin Jack too and I remember many fond Christmases with him present. May you bear his passing with strength in the Holy Spirit. My prayers go with you.

    I am truly sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I hope the Cashman family will find some comfort and strength in Jesus promise of the earthly resurrection (Acts 24:15, John 5:28, 29) and the renewed Paradise earth, where death is an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26) that will very soon be eliminated forever, and no family will mourn the death of a loved one (Revelation 21:3,4). This promise has been given by Almighty God Jehovah (Psalms 83:18). Truly, what a glorious and almost unbelievable day that will be! It's a reality though for God cannot lie (Titus 1:2).     Dear missy and family, Me and my family are deeply sorry for your lose.he was always a happy go lucky guy and could make you laugh. He and Tom always made sure my mom was alright.I have fond memories of him,he Will truly be missed.
