Obituary For Leonora C. Massa
Leonora “Nora” C. (Cabral) Massa, 90, of Bristol, RI, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation. A daughter of the late John and Mary (Fernandes) Cabral and the beloved wife of the late Anibal “Nib” R. Massa, Leonora lived in Portsmouth for many years before settling in Bristol in 2010.
Nora was a very accomplished business woman, having owned and operated Coast Cushion Co. along with her husband since 1964. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her family.
Nora is survived by her daughters, Elaine Massa of Bristol, RI and Judith M. McVey and her husband Kevin of Cranston, RI; her granddaughter, Kerri McVey of Cranston, RI; and a brother John L. Cabral Jr. of Swansea, MA. She was the sister of the late Leonard Cabral.
Private services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
