Obituary For Linda Silva

Linda Silva, 60, of Warren, passed away on Sunday, January 22, at Grace Barker Nursing Home.

Linda was born in Fall River in 1956 and lived in Warren for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late John A. Silva Jr. and the late Anna (Bettencourt) Silva of Old Market Street in Warren.

Linda attended elementary and secondary schools in Warren and graduated from Warren High School in 1974. While a high school student, she worked as an aide at local nursing homes and began developing her interest in health care and her dedication to helping people in need.

After graduating from high school she enrolled at the Community College of Rhode Island and earned her degree in nursing in 1977. She was soon hired as a pediatric nurse at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

For the next 37 years Linda worked as a nurse in a variety of the hospitals departments and facilities, but always in positions related to pediatrics. Through nearly four decades, she helped thousands of sick and injured children and their families as they faced medical challenges both big and small.
