Obituary For Luciano M. Vieira

Luciano M. Vieira, 81, of Warren, RI passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late Maria Vieira and the loving husband of Elvira Vieira, Luciano grew up in the Azores before moving to Bristol, RI in 1973. Seven years later, he moved with his family to Warren, RI where he has remained ever since.

Luciano was an avid soccer fan and loved to watch his former team, the Leoes, play whenever he could. He was a social person who loved everyone, a sentiment which others were more than happy to return. Luciano had friends all over the country and in Canada which speaks volumes to his character. Most of all, he loved his family and always wanted to spend time with them, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife, Elvira, Luciano is survived by his son, Philip Vieira and his wife Tracy of Warren, RI; his three grandchildren, Danielle Vieira, Devin Vieira, step-granddaughter, Nicole Violett; and his great granddaughter, Paisley Loras.

Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 1-4PM.

Luciano was one of my favorite patients. I became close to him and Elvira. The one memory I will always have of Luciano is how he wouldn't let me leave the house without a piece of cake. Rest in piece my friend, you will be sadly missed.....Colleen Pinelli RN

Rest in peace Tio, without pain and suffering. Look down on those you love and watch over them from heaven; be their guardian angel. Go grab a front row seat at all the soccer games you want....and please, say hi to vova for me. Auntie and the family, I am so sorry for your loss. Words can't take away the pain you're feeling but I hope you find some comfort in knowing he will never leave you in heart and mind...and you have gained a tough as nails guardian angel, too. My deepest condolences to the whole family.
