Lula S. (Patton) Vitecha, 84, of Barrington, died Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Miriam Hospital in Providence.

She was the wife of the late John Vitecka.

She was born in Barrington, a daughter of the late George and Grace (Greene) Patton.

Prior to retirement in 1980 she had worked for the Former Crown Fasteners and Rhode Island Lace Works. She was a member of The Baptist Church in Warren, and a 25 year member of the Newman YMCA. She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Pat Monti of Lady Lake, FL; her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Tammy Vitecka (ed. Note: he spells his name differently)of Panama City, Fl; two sisters, Elaine Congdon of Bristol and Beatrice Contois of Warren; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Russell, Arthur and Daisy Patton and Avis Jordan.

The funeral service conducted by the Rev. Esther Irish will be Tuesday at 10:30 in the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
