Obituary For Manuel Andrade Jr.

Manuel Andrade Jr., 69, of Bristol, RI, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late Manuel Andrade Sr. and Lillian (Trask) Andrade, Manuel was a lifelong Bristolian.

Manuel worked as a Roofer for Jackson Brothers Roofing for many years. He loved his motorcycle and working on cars he was a man of many trades.

Manuel loved to get his morning Dunkin’ coffee and his scratch tickets and sitting outside first thing in the morning. Manuel loved to be by the water and going clamming. He could often be found in his backyard enjoying a cookout with his family. Manuel was a longtime member of the Cup Defenders Hall. He was known as a loving and caring family man with a great sense of humor. In true Bristolian fashion, he always looked forward to the annual 4th of July Celebration. Most of all, Manuel loved to spend time with his beloved children, grandchildren and his dogs.

Manuel is survived by his longtime partner, Roberta Thompson of Warren, RI; his sons, Manuel McGinn of Burrillville, RI, Jeremy Andrade and his fiancée, Tina Correia of Warren, RI, and Raymond Andrade of Warren, RI; his daughters, Tina McCabe and her husband Robert of Warren, RI and Rosemary Powell of Warren, RI; his sister, Kathleen Stevens of Torrington, CT; five grandchildren, Tesha, Dennis, Dylan, Camryn and Ethan; and seven great-grandchildren, Maddox, Matthew, Wyatt, Bentley, Percy, Juniper and Dalton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Robert Payne, Frank “Sonny” Andrade, Rosemary Andrade, Lillian Lemire, Joann Vincent and Rebecca Andrade.

Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 5-8PM.

    Uncle Manny was my mom's youngest brother and was as much a cousin as an uncle since he was just a kid when many of us were born. He was a great lover of his home town of Bristol he loved the ocean and seafood and loved a wild firecracker too! Blessings and love to all his family and friends.

    visited many on his 60th birthday he was the best cook of sea food chowder stuff clams. we had a great time .i went there with his sister Kathy he was just so good to us .to all his family so verry for your loss

    Manny was an uncle to all the neighborhood kids that were friends of his family he may not be my uncle by blood but he was the best uncle I knew, he was helpful and kind to me.he always gave me a hug when I left one of his cookout or a party uncle Manny will be missed by lots of people
