Maria Isabel ( Rodrigues) Nunes , 69 of Warren died Wednesday May 11, 2016 at home.

She was the wife of the late Fransisco Pereira Nunes.

Mrs. Nunes was born in Sao Miguel, Azores ,Portugal , a daughter of the late Joao and Rosalina ( Costa) Rodrigues.

She was a homemaker

Maria moved to Warren in 1977 coming from Portugal, over the years she moved to Providence, and California, and back to Warren.

She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, and was active with the churches Holy Ghost Society, and was a member of the Warren Soccer Club, and active with their Holy Ghost Society also.

She enjoyed gardening, loved her plants, and spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Nunes is survived by her sons Fransisco O. Pereira, Helder J. Pereira both of the Azores, Robert Pereira of London, Paulo J. Pereira of East Providence, Emanual Pereira and Ricardo Nunes both of Warren , and her daughters Isabel M. Pereira and Osvalda Nunes both of Warren RI.

She was the sister of Joao Costa Rodrigues of Riverside, Valdomiro Costa Rodrigues of Rehoboth MA, Zenaida Toste of California, Florinda Rodrigues Pimentel from Warren.

She was the grandmother of 19, and the great grandmother of 2, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Maria was the sister of the late Viber Rodrigues, and Jose Manuel Costa Rodrigues.

Also survived by many friends.

her funeral service will be held Tuesday May 17,2016 at 4:00pm in the Smith Funeral , Memorial and Cremation Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, burial will be private.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday May 17, 2016 from 2:00 4:00pm
