Obituary For Marie " Lena" Cavallaro

Marie D. Lena ( Marchand) Cavallaro, 94, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at home.

She was the wife of the late Louis A. Cavallaro, Lena was born in Louisdale, Nova Scotia, Canada, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Annie (Boudreau) Marchand.

She had worked at the former S.E. Rains Company, Kaiser Aluminum, Armours Meat market. Mrs. Cavallaro has been a Bristol resident for over 70 years coming from Warren, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Mrs Cavallaro enjoyed playing BINGO, and playing cards, and going to Foxwoods.

She is survived by her son Owen L. Cavallaro and his wife Virginia of North Seekonk, her daughter Marie Manchester of Bristol, a sister Mary Rose Aguiar of Edgewater, Florida . Mrs. Cavallaro was the grandmother of Missy and Marty Tatum, Norman and Kim Manchester, Louis Manchester, Leeann Manchester and Dereck Gensel, Jessica and Donald Cavallaro, Kayla Cavallaro and Steve. She was the great grandmother of Kaytlin, Rebecca, Kelsey, Norman, Louis, Ashley, Nicholas, Jackson and the great great grandmother of Kylie, Ava, Aalyah and she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cavallaro was the sister of the late William, Paul, Desire, Wilfred and Joseph Marchand, and the also the late Louise Ballard, and Bertha Staudinger. She was the mother of the late Ann Claire Medeiros.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:00am from the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10;00am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St. Bristol, burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, visiting hours will be Tuesday from 8- 930am. www.wsjsmithfh.com

    It was our pleasure to know Lena when we were children. Lena was one the kindest, caring and giving ladies we knew. So sad to hear of her passing, although she is now with her husband, her daughter, Ann, and many loved ones that have passed on to a better life....Her loving family will miss her terribly. Good Bye Lena.
