Obituary For Marilyn Foehr
Marilyn Asciolla Foehr, 76, of Warren, RI, and formerly of Bristol, went to her peaceful rest with her Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Hope Health Hospice, Providence, RI.
She was the loving and dedicated wife of David C Foehr for nearly 35 years. She was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Jean (Malafronte) Asciolla of Bristol, RI.
Marilyn was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, Rhode Island College and attended graduate
school at Louisiana State University. Early in her career she worked for the RI Department of Children
and Families. For the remainder of her career, she worked as a caseworker at the Rhode Island Veterans
Home in Bristol, RI. Helping the state's war service veterans was a labor of love and dedication for
which she was recognized on many occasions.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Briana J. Lambert (Leah Curley) and her husband
Mark, of Gainesville, VA, stepson, David C. Foehr II and his wife Susan of Providence, RI, her brother,
Mark Asciolla (Julie,) of Chattanooga, TN and sister, Nila Asciolla of Bristol, RI, and two grandchildren,
David C. Foehr III and Emma C. Foehr. She is also survived by nephew A.J. Asciolla, and nieces Emily
Asciolla and Meg Asciolla. She was predeceased by her brother Neil. She also leaves behind her fourlegged love, Reilly and was the proud dog mom of Molly, Mocha and Snowball.
Marilyn's faith was always strong and she loved her family at Darlington Congregational Church. She was
deeply proud of her father's service in the Navy during WWII and her husband's service in the Vietnam
War.
