Mary A. Sylvia (Andrade), age 91, of Pennsylvania Avenue passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the loving wife of Frank J. Sylvia with whom she had been married to for 60 years. She was a Warren resident for over 60 years.

Born in Bristol, RI she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Anni (Motta) Andrade Jr. Mary was a factory worker at American Tourister in Warren for many years. She also previously worked for US Rubber in Bristol.

She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Besides her husband she leaves two sons Allen Sylvia of Seekonk, MA. and Gary Sylvia of Warren, one daughter Maryann Reed of Virginia Beach VA.

She has 3 grandchildren Allen Raimer, Alicia Welch and Kyle Sylvia and 1 great grandson Declan Welch. She was a sister of the late Manuel Andrade, Rita Furtado, Charlotte Sylvia and Tina Cote.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren. Where family will receive friends WEDNESDAY MORNING March 11, 2015 FROM 8:30 am TO 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church 500 Metacom Ave. Warren.
