Obituary For Mathew Philip DePasquale

Mathew P. DePasquale 37 of Bristol passed away on Monday September 10, 2018 at home. He was a son of Philip S. and Ginny (Godet) DePasquale.

He was a school teacher with NAFI in the Pawtucket school system. Mat was raised in Warren and was a graduate of Mt. Hope High School and Rhode Island College with a degree in special education. He had a natural gift for nurturing his students.

He was an assistant football coach at Mt. Hope High School. He loved sports and also coached Pop Warner football.

He was a resident of Bristol for the past 5 years. Besides his parents he has one brother Peter DePasquale of Bristol and a sister the late Bethany DePasquale.

He was the paternal grandson of Philip J. DePasquale and the late Margherita DePasquale. His maternal grandparents were the late John and Eileen Godet.

He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece Layla.

Visiting hours will be Friday September 14, 2018 from 4 to 7pm in SMITH FUNERAL & MEMORIAL SERVICES 8 Schoolhouse Road Warren.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday September 15 at 11am in St. Mary of the Bay Church 645 Main St. Warren.

Burial will be private.

    Mr.Matt had such a positive impact on my childhood... i looked forward to seeing him everyday after school at COZ. He may have not remembered me, all these years later, but i will never forget him & his warm spirit. My heart goes out to the family. You're all in my thoughts.
