To my family, Gino and I share your sadness about the passing of Papa. He was one of the strongest, most selfless men I have ever known. Though our loss is deeply felt, let's find comfort in the fact that we know he is still with us in our hearts, memories, setbacks and triumphs. We love you Papa. Jillian &Gino

Word can not express how deeply sad I am. I think about how much hurt I feel - and can only imagine what my father, aunt and uncle are going through. My only solace is that Mama Rosie and Poppa are together in heaven. When you lose someone you love you gain an angel you know....now we all two angels watching over us.

To Michael, Karen, Gerry, and Paul, From a neighborhood perspective, Michael Rubino was the perfect bookend to his wife Rose. When we were younger, he was the stern one as Rose was the softie. His no nonsense approach to responsible behavior was valued and welcomed as we all developed into adults. His love for the Palmer River he shared with us all. I remember learning from him how to hunt for blue shell crabs with a net, and not with chicken. He always took the time necessary to instill in us how important expectations were, and had his own â??specialâ?? way of getting his point across, always looking directly at you, straight in the eyes. He was one of the individuals who made the North End of Warren a great place to both grow up and live in. Through him, we all gained an appreciation of the natural environment that surrounded our community. Whenever our paths would cross, he would always greet me with a warm smile and wish my family well. He worshiped his wife and family, and set an example for each of us to follow. As difficult as it was for all of you to experience this past week, I certainly understand how important it was for him to follow Rose, since they both simply were a great team together. Our heartfelt condolences from the Zbyszewskiâ??s to your entire family regarding the passing of your dad.

Dear Karen, I was so very sorry to see that you lost both your parents recently. How heartbreaking for one parent to pass away, and then you had it happen again so quickly. My deepest sympathy to you and your family during this terribly difficult time. You may remember me - you and I worked together at Butler Hospital many years ago. I've never forgotten that time because, even though I worked there only six months or so, I truly enjoyed seeing you every day and I have so many great memories. You were a wonderful person to have as a co-worker. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts. With most sincere condolences, Kathy Mechnig
