Obituary For Myron E. Reese

Warren Myron E. Sharkey Reese, Jr. of Warren died Saturday July 18,2020 at Newport Hospital.

He was the husband of L. Lee (Sousa) Reese, they were married for over 52 years.

He was born in Fall River, the son of Lillian (Jacome) Reese,Sr., and the late Myron E. Reese Sr.

Sharkey was a Truck Driver for ARCO for 22 years, and was also a route salesman for Little Debbie snacks, and Arnold Bread, prior to becoming a self - employed route salesman for the Pepperidge Farm Company for many years, before retiring.

He has lived in Warren for over 52 years, coming from Rehoboth, MA. and was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church., where he did the collections for many years.

Sharkey enjoyed watching racing at Seekonk Speedway and watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, as well as the Boston Celtics.

After retiring he worked for the former Our Lady of Fatima High School, now the Highlander Charter School as the maintenance supervisor for over 10 years, and also worked for the Warren Police Department working details for over 10 years.

He enjoyed listening to country music, spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Sharkey took great pride in his property, always doing yard work, and always had perfect grass.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters Cheryl Reese DeCastro and her husband Tony of Warren and Dawn Amaral and her fiance David J. Medeiros of Fall River.

Sharkey is also survived by his brother Edward Reese of Dighton, his sisters Susan Silvia of Dighton and Betty Ann Consigni of Milford Ma.

He was the grandfather of Brielle and Reese DeCastro, Nicholas Amaral, Justin and James Almeida.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday July 24,2020 at 10:00 am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Avenue, Warren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling hours and flowers are omitted. Burial will be private.
