Obituary For Nancy Jane Church

Warren Nancy J. ( Merlan) Church, 65 of Arnold St. Lincoln, died Wednesday June 18, 2014, at the Home and Hospice Care of RI . She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Julio & Katherine (Rogers) Merlan . Nancy was the mother of Tara Church of Providence, and the sister of Frederick Merlan of Warren, and Bruce Merlan of North Smithfield. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 5, 2014 at the Riverside Congregational Church, Bullocks Point Ave, Riverside. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Dearest Tara, Ted and Bruce! Nancy and I met in the first grade at Prospect Hill Elementary school. I always remember how beautiful she was even when we were little. I actually envied the fact she was a great singer and dancer! When i lived in Rhode Island, she was my best friend for many years. We laughed, cried on each others shoulders, danced,& ate together. How we remained friends for so many years, is amazing. I contribute that to Nancy. I will miss our jokes together that only she and I found funny! May you all have God's compassion surround you. I will truly miss my friend.
