Obituary For Norman W. Boyce

Bristol Norman W. Boyce, 92, of Bristol, died Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol.

He was the beloved husband of Celeste (Vieira)Boyce for over 55 years.

He was born in Pawtucket a son of the late Lyle W. and Olive (Knott) Boyce.

He was educated at Tolman High School and then he joined the US Navy in World War II, serving on the US Hamul.

Following his discharge he worked for the Blackstone Valley Electric (now National Grid), retiring in 1989 as the Manager of the Dispatch Department of National Grid.

Throughout his life, Normans faith in Christ was of utmost importance. He attended Assembly of God Churches in South Attleboro, Ma., North Providence, RI, and lastly in Warren, RI. He was the Founder and President of the Woonsocket Chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmens Association during the 1970s and 1980s.

He enjoyed Golfing, fishing, boxing and gardening. Above all he loved reading and studying the Bible. He was predeceased by his brother, John E. Boyce.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Deirdre D. MacLean and her husband Frank N. MacLean of East Bridgewater, MA.

He was the grandfather of Kersty E. MacLean and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday, January 10, 2020 at 9:00 am from the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road Warren. Followed by a service at 10:00 am in the Radiant Christian Church, 895 Main Street, Warren.

Burial with Military Honors will follow in North Burial Ground, Bristol.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
