Obituary For Patricia A. Franco

Patricia Ann (Amaral) Franco, 85, of Bristol, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Dominic Franco for 65 years.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Rose (Cabral) Amaral.

A true homemaker, Patricia, not only opened her home to others, but she was also a mother figure to many of “her” kids and gave her whole heart. She had everyone’s best interest and always wanted to make sure you had a full belly. As the matriarch of the family, her true passion was to put them first. Patricia loved to entertain and cook, especially Italian and Portuguese cuisine.

In addition to her husband Dominic, she is survived by her children Domenic Franco Jr. and his wife Linda, Lori Franco and Scott Franco, all of Bristol; four grandchildren the late Aaron, Tyler, Alex and Natalie Franco; siblings David Amaral of South Carolina and Veronica “Ronnie” Lull of Iowa. She was the sister of the late Richard Amaral, George Amaral and Edward Amaral.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11AM in St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol, RI. Burial private.

    Dear Franco Family, I am so sorry for the loss of Pat ( Grandma to me ). She was always so welcoming to myself and my children on the 4th of July for the big family party. She treated us just like family and made sure we were all taken care of. She was the sweetest person. She will be missed for sure. Sending my love to all of you!     Dom, Lori, Nick, Scott, My condolences to all of you in he loss of mom. She was everything you mentioned in your writeup and more. She was loved by many and will be missed by the same. Most importantly she was the woman who was there when the three of you took your first breaths and I am so proud of all of you being there with her when she too her last. Be at peace with her passing for she has completed her journey one day we all will complete.     To my loving Cousin Patsy, loosing you hurts so much and breaks my heart. I thank you for all you did for me thru the years, you were always there for me whenever I was in need. Your suffering is now over and you are finally at peace. You are in Gods hands now in your new life. I will miss you so much and loved you the same.
