Obituary For Patricia Ann Cooper

Patricia Ann Cooper, 78, of Middletown, RI, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, passed away, Friday, October 15, 2021, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of 51 years to Raymond A. Cooper. Born in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Grace (Kelly) Tierno. Pat was a Graduate of Rogers High School, Class of 1961. She enjoyed square and round dancing with the Town Howlers Square Dance Club and many other clubs for over 50 years. In addition to dancing, Pat always enjoyed camping, eating out and was ready for a party anytime. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert Almeida and his wife Vickie of Granite Falls, NC, and Raymond A. Cooper Jr., of Portsmouth, RI, three daughters, Karen Almeida of Switzerland, Kelly Cooper Silvia and her husband Jim of Middletown, RI, and Shannon Cooper Davenport of Albany, NY, two brothers, Joe Tierno and his wife Nancy of Middletown, RI, and Anthony Tierno and his wife Diana of Cranston, RI, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was also the sister of the late Richard Meleleu. Private family calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 2-4PM at Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren. Funeral services and burial will be private.
