Obituary For Patricia J. Shipley

Patricia J. (Silveira) Shipley, 80, of Warren, RI, passed away on February 26, 2025, at Hope Hospice after a long bout of silent health issues.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Mary Angela (Braz) Silveira and the loving partner of eighteen years to Ronald Remy, Patricia was a lifelong resident of Warren, RI.

Pat lived her entire life in the town of Warren and spent many of her past summers in Pensacola, Florida with her late mother and sisters.

She was the loving sister of the six Silveira girls.

We prayed that you would not leave us but know that you had to go. We will celebrate your life always and never let your memory fade from our hearts.

She is survived by her sisters and their families Lorraine and “Bud” Schnell (John, Dawn, Cathy), Joyce and Jim Curry (Renee, Deborah, Cheryl), Joan and Bob Major (Sandy, Joey, Robbie), Sheila Andrews and Jim (Gaddy, Denise, Eddie), and the late Ann Marie Goulart (Richard, Richard, Kimberly). Pat had no children of her own but loved all her nieces and nephews. Pat was the partner to the late Ronald Remy (Pam, Ronelle) for 18 years before his passing. She enjoyed life with him, her many friends, and had an electric spice for life. She worked hard her entire life for all she accomplished. She enjoyed Bingo at the Warren Senior Center and laughing with friends at the Warren German American Club; her days were full of love.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.

You will be missed. I loved you so, even though we were a million miles away from each other. I remember picking blue berries and strawberries with you. What fun we always had together. Love you for ever.
